Upcoming sermon series: Jesus Rocks!

I'm pumped about our next sermon series because it will be based on the book of Colossians. Before you turn your brain off, read on...allow me to explain.

Every book of the Bible has a theme or central message. It is especially easy to identify the dominant theme int eh 13 Epistles the Apostle Paul wrote. For example, in Romans it is justification by faith. In Ephesians, it is the mystery of Christ and His Church. In Philippians, it is the joy which Christ brings. And in the book of Colossians it is the absolute supremacy and sufficiency of Jesus Christ as the Head of all creation and of the Church. This is why the first series from the book of Colossians is titles: JESUS ROCKS! The title is fitting simply because Jesus does, in fact, rock! There is no book in the New Testament, including John's Gospel, which presents such a comprehensive picture of the fullness of Christ!

So hang on for the ride of your life, because this nest series is all about Jesus and His entrance into our daily living; or perhaps it could be better stated our entrance into Him!

Below are the messages for our first study of this great book, which should take us through to the end of August! Begin reading and praying and applying the transformational truth in this amazing book!

Chapter one will take us through Easter Sunday. In May, we will "Acquire the Fire" in chapter two of Colossians.
