Welcome to River of Life Student Ministries. These pages are designed to provide youth of River of Life, Elk River, MN and surrounding communities with information about our student ministries. The students range from 7th to 12th grade and meet at various times throughout the week.
The student ministries at River of Life are a thriving community of 150+ junior and senior high students from Elk River and surrounding communities. There are many ministries geared towards the students, with the ultimate goal of bringing students closer to God.
The key components of student ministry at River of Life are to:
We seek to accomplish the objectives above by guiding students through four levels of involvement and spiritual growth. This is done by offering events and activities that meet students where they are and direct them to a deeper relationship and commitment to God and his work.

Our student ministries mission trip will be to Galveston, Texas this year from June 20-26. We will be helping with the disaster relief in the wake of Hurricane Ike that hit the gulf coast region on September 13, 2008. Ike flooded over 100,000 homes and businesses, damaging and directly impacting seven Evangelical Free Churches. Lives have been devastated! We have chosen to work with the EFCA Crisis Response mission teams in partnership with Galveston Bible Church, in disaster recovery and reconstruction to the church family. We are looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us and to serve Him and minister to the people of Galveston!
MISSION UPDATE June 22, 2010
Arrived into Galveston Sunday lunchtime, went to the pier for a boat tour of the harbor, nice way to begin the trip (overview and history of Galveston)! Unpacked and had orientation afterward on Sunday afternoon. Hit it hard working and prayer walking Monday, split up into 2 teams of 11, one on a roof replacement and the other siding/ painting. Hit the beach Monday night and did worship at ocean, awesome time, another group joined us for part of it (group of 30 down here from Illiniois). Kids have a great attitude, the Spirit is moving in their hearts, it's amazing to see them (actually all of us) open up and want to fullfill the great comission as well as be so thankfull for all we have at home!! We came to serve and find ourseves being served also. Still a large amount of visible devastation here, it's amazing to see the extent of the damage.
Overall everyone is o.k., please pray for strength, boldness in sharing faith, safety and for a continued building of faith as we be obedient to God!
